Ensuring our new students have the smoothest transition possible is something we value very strongly, and we are already looking into ways that we can stay in touch with your child before starting with us in September.
We can assure you that your child’s place with us is safe, and we ask that you complete the Admissions documents sent recently via post. We will be in touch about how to get these back to us once school has reopened.
If your daughter has a Special Educational Need or Disability and you would like to discuss this further please email Mrs S Zarar ( Assistant Headteacher & SENCO).
All future correspondence will be via email, so please check your email regularly.
Take care and stay safe.
Have a Question?
We realise that moving to secondary school can be both an exciting and worrying time and that Parents/Carers and Students will have a lot of questions about this process. Throughout the next 6 months we aim to answer your questions to ensure you have all the information you need to make a positive start to your new school. We will release our first Parent FAQ and Student FAQ videos on Monday 15th March, answering questions submitted by yourselves.
We know the last few months have been an uncertain and challenging time for everyone, but we are working very hard to make sure the school is ready to welcome your daughter, as a new Year 7 student in September.
Unfortunately due to COVID-19, we are unable to meet you before the end of term this year, but we didn’t want you to miss out on being introduced to our PE Department. So, instead of a physical event, we are delighted to welcome you to our ‘Virtual Sports Day’.
Welcome to Whalley Range 11-18 High School. Our school is a warm and caring community for all students. We celebrate diversity and believe strongly in providing an environment where all young people thrive.
At our transition events you would usually meet many of our staff, getting to know them before you start school in September. Unfortunately we have been unable to do that this year, however we have asked key members off staff to introduce themselves to you virtually.
We like to encourage our students where possible to walk or cycle to school. There are many health and environmental benefits attached to walking and cycling. Please use the links below for more information.
We appreciate that the transition to secondary school can be a difficult and daunting time for Year 6 children and their parents/carers. On this page we have tried to provide key pieces of information to help your daughter for her start at Whalley Range 11-18 High School.
