On 28th September 2023, a group of enthusiastic media based students departed on an unforgettable journey to the magical world of Harry Potter in London.
Whalley Range 11-18 High School hosted its annual Futures Fest, offering students the chance to meet a wide range of colleges, training providers and universities to explore their future options.
As part of the Lunar STEM Challenge, a number of Year 8 students attended The University of Manchester to take part in various activities around engineering.
As part of Black History Month 2023, MU Foundation hosted a ‘Celebrating Excellence’ event, which provided students from across the Foundation’s partner schools with the opportunity to engage with BAME (Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic) professionals from a variety of sectors.
Generations of students have passed through the doors of Whalley Range 11-18 High School. We are keen to keep in touch with students and hear of the exciting pathways you have travelled following studying at the school.
A number of our Year 12 students visited The University of Manchester, as part of a taster day to explore university life and future pathways.

We work closely with Our Futures to offer careers guidance and work experience opportunities. Our Future aim to inform and inspire our citizens of the future to become highly employable and aspirational. They aim to equip students with an awareness of the labour market, along with the skills, qualities and experience needed to succeed.
