Personal Development

Our Personal Development curriculum helps students successfully access the wider curriculum and prepares them to be global citizens now and in their future roles, in a diverse and ever-changing society.

Personal Development Journey

All students study the school’s Personal Development curriculum as a five-year journey, which gives them the knowledge, understanding and emotional resilience to play an active, positive and successful role in today’s modern Britain.

British Values

We actively promote values such as ‘mutual understanding and respect’ and equality between girls and promote values of democracy, respect and tolerance for all races, cultures, faiths and beliefs. This is lived out in the programmes of SMSC, assemblies and curriculum provision.

Cooperative Values

Our ethos is based on the Cooperative values of self-help, self-responsibility, equality, solidarity, democracy and equity.

Student Leadership at WRHS

Student leadership lies at the heart of improving our school and to enable our students to realise their full potential.
