Personal Development Journey

All students study the school’s Personal Development curriculum as a five-year journey, which gives them the knowledge, understanding and emotional resilience to play an active, positive and successful role in today’s modern Britain.

Relationships and Sex Education (RSE)

The Governors have agreed a Sex and Relationships Education Policy for our school and it is available upon request to the school. This forms part of each student’s curriculum.

Student leadership lies at the heart of improving our school and to enable our students to realise their full potential.

Cooperative Values

At Whalley Range 11-18 High School we actively promote the Cooperative values of self-help, self-responsibility, equality, solidarity, democracy and equity.

British Values

We actively promote values such as ‘mutual understanding and respect’ and equality between girls and promote values of democracy, respect and tolerance for all races, cultures, faiths and beliefs. This is lived out in the programmes of SMSC, assemblies and curriculum provision.
