What Will I Study?
- Core maths including algebra, trigonometry, calculus and series
- Statistics – data handling
- Mechanics – Newton’s laws of motion
How Will I Be Assessed?
End of Year 12 AS level: One core paper (2 hours) and one applied paper including Mechanics and Statistics (1 hour 15 minutes).
End of Year 13 A level: Two core papers (2 hours each and one applied including Mechanics and Statistics (2 hours).
What Could I Do Next?
There are a range of careers including modelling and designing, actuary, financial, banking and meteorology.
Subject Specific Entry Requirements
GCSE grade 6 in Maths (Grade 5 achieved on the higher paper would be considered.
