These students will still be entitled to receive Free School Meals whilst attending the Sixth Form.
How to Apply for the Bursary
To apply for the bursary, you must complete the application form via the Bursary 16+ module:
If your circumstances change during the course of the year, you can still apply for the bursary. Please speak to the Head of Sixth Form, Mr Mycock, about this.
Students’ bursary can only be used to directly support resources identified as necessary to help them access education. Students in receipt of the bursary will be provided with further guidance of what they are able to claim for.

Our Pass
This year students can apply for Our Pass, which is a bus pass that offers free bus travel for 16-18 year olds across Greater Manchester. Please visit the website ourpass.co.uk to find out more details about how to apply for it. The school will reimburse students with £10 for the initial one-off payment for the card, once the Sixth Form Administrator has taken a copy of their Our Pass card.
Students aged 19 will be unable to apply for Our Pass. These students where eligible for the bursary are able to claim back college related bus travel. Receipts must be kept and submitted to the sixth form through the bursary system.
Assessment and Payment of Bursaries
In most cases, the school is free to determine which young people should be eligible to receive a bursary, and how much they should receive.
Payment will be made by BACS and where possible on a monthly basis. All students must have their own bank account. Payments will not be made until proof of account is seen.
