A-Level Media Studies students and Year 11 Creative iMedia students travelled to Warner Bros. Studios on Wednesday 28th September 2022 to attend a film and media session, discussing camera angles and techniques used in the film industry. This provided the students an opportunity to discover exciting job opportunities within the film and media industry, as well as understanding the importance of camera angles, which will help the Year 11 Creative iMedia students in their next unit – videography.
In addition to this, the students took a tour around the studio, which comprised of the sets and props used in the Harry Potter saga. Performances were held at certain parts of the tour, including a spine-chilling show by the Death Eaters and a hologram of a dragon.
I think it was a great insight into how film-making is a really exciting career for students that study media.
Mr Corney, CEIAG Coordinator

The trip was impactful as it helped me realise the amount of work it takes to produce and create such an amazing series of films.
