Media Students at Britain’s Got Talent ( Published: 13/02/2023)

As part of their studies, eight of our Sixth Form students were given the opportunity to attend the Lowry Theatre in Salford Quays for the 2023 Britain’s Got Talent auditions. They were able to assess how a large scale TV production is made and witness the various jobs in the industry in action.

With prime seats just behind the judges, you can expect to see our students reactions for some of the performances when the show airs in the spring.

Following on from the trip, the students will have an exciting virtual talk from some of the women working on the show, including the producer. Maybe we’ll see some of our students working on the show in the near future!

I really enjoyed the trip to BGT as I was able to see behind the scenes of how they film the TV show. I even saw the judges and Ant and Dec whilst waiting in the queue! I hope to experience this again as it was a time I will never forget.
