World Book Day 2024: Promoting a Love of Reading for Students

As part of the school's focus on promoting reading for pleasure, we relish the opportunity to celebrate World Book Day. This involves staff dressing up as their favourite characters to promote discussions around reading for pleasure and lots of competitions in which students can take part.

Your Daughter and Reading

Strong readers have been shown to not only perform better in exams and have greater life chances, but also to be happier and more secure in their mental health. Research shows that one of the best ways to guarantee improvement in reading is a supportive reading environment at home.

Learning Resource Centre

The LRC (Learning Resource Centre) drives on the school’s reading priorities and is a very popular space as a result. Excellent facilities and opportunities are available to students.
