After recent difficult times, Year 11 GCSE Art, Photography and Textiles students have completed their studies at WRHS. It is now time to celebrate their hard work, determination and commitment to their studies to achieve outstanding results.
It has been a testing year and at times the students have had to motivate themselves to work outside of the classroom, showing levels of maturity way beyond their years. Within this virtual exhibition we will be looking at work produced by the students, which would normally be exhibited at the end of year GCSE Arts Show.
The students have experienced a learning experience that none ever thought possible within our life time. They have had to rise to challenges that are still hard to comprehend. Normality has been taken away during the most testing of times, with even more pressure placed upon their young shoulders. The students of the GCSE ARTS of WRHS have shown great strength of character, commitment to themselves, their peers and their families. I have been so proud of all of the students, as they have shown these qualities in abundance.
Myself and the rest of the Art Department wishes to celebrate the work through our first virtual exhibition. Good luck to you all in the next stage of your lives, and realise that if you can make it through the last two years, nothing can stop you in the future.
