Students take Social Action ( Published: 20/09/2019)
Students worked on a anti discrimination campaign called #NoRacism, focusing on encouraging students to speak up when they see discrimination instead of staying silent.
The students made t shirts, campaign badges and a video, which included interviews of students and staff at Whalley Range 11-18 High School. They presented this in assembly to all five houses along with a short drama piece.
They came away winners of the ‘Social Action’ award, after impressing the judges with their personal development, confidence and support for one another.
This group embodies the value of social action and volunteering and stand as excellent role models for what young people can achieve.
