Staff Contribute to Wood Street Mission’s 2020 Christmas Appeal ( Published: 10/12/2020)
Staff donated £618, which was used to buy gifts and sweet treats for children and young adults across Manchester and Salford.
Because of COVID-19 the charity is in greater demand than ever before, and due to social distancing guidelines, had to move premises in order to arrange for families to come and collect toys.
With money donated by staff, Miss Walsh and Mrs Mackenzie went out and bought toys to fill the school minibus, which were then dropped off at the Great Northern Warehouse in Manchester city centre.
Once again Whalley Range staff have been so generous in supporting this appeal and amazing charity. Due to COVID-19, the charity is in greater need than ever and these gifts will put a smile on many children’s faces on Christmas morning, after what has been a hard year for everyone. A big thank you to Clarke Nicklin who have also supported this appeal by donating toys and gifts.
