Safeguarding
Safeguarding Is Everyone’s Responsibility.
Parents/carers should be aware that all of our staff are legally obliged to follow up any concerns they may have around Child Protection.
Our designated Senior Child Protection Officer is Ms Allen. The rest of the team consists of Mrs Zarar, Ms Pearson and Mrs White.
Safeguarding children and young people is the responsibility of everyone.
The member of the Senior Leadership Team responsible for Safeguarding is Mrs Connolly, Deputy Headteacher (Designated Safeguarding Lead).
Should any member of staff have a concern about a student, they have a duty to report their concern immediately through CPOMS to a member of the Child Protection Team.
If we are concerned that a child/young person is at risk of significant harm or is being abused, we will refer these concerns to Children, Families and Social Care (CFSC) and/or the Police if necessary. In some circumstances this may happen without the consent or knowledge of parents/carers.
