Parents’/Carers’ Year 6 Transition Evening

Welcoming you to Whalley Range 11-18 High School.

We are delighted to be able to invite you to our New Intake Evening on Wednesday 5th July 2022. Please confirm your attendance to the evening via Admissions+.

The arrangements for the evening are as follows:

  • Presentation from Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team for parents/carers in the Bistro, starting at 3.30, 4:30 or 5:30pm prompt
  • Pastoral support presentation in smaller groups with the opportunity for you to ask questions and take part in group discussions
  • Meet your daughters’ Head of Year and Learning Coach
  • There will also be an opportunity for you to meet with Heads of Faculty and discuss the curriculum, extracurricular activities and how to ensure you and your daughter are fully prepared for September
  • Receive your copy of our family transition booklet

What we Learn

Students will study a wide range of subjects including the Core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science. It is important that you are clear on what your daughter will learn in Year 7 at Whalley Range. The attached documents detail:

  • What you can do to prepare over the summer
