What Will I Study?
You will study a new and interesting set of topics across a range of four areas during the two years: English Legal System, criminal law, contract law and Tort (negligence) law. Law is ever changing and affects all our lives. The topics we study will give you a broad range of knowledge and a real insight into the legal system and those who work in it.
How Will I Be Assessed?
You will be assessed by three exams in Year 13.
What Could I Do Next?
There are a range of higher education courses which can lead on to a number of careers for instance in journalism, politics, legal professions such as paralegal, solicitors, barristers, Human Resources, working for large corporations, social work or careers in the criminal justice system such as police and prisons. Law is highly valued by universities as a facilitating subject and is an excellent complement to social science, history and English subjects, showing advanced written and critical thinking skills.

GCSE grade 5 in English Language.
