Students celebrate their fantastic results on GCSE Results Day 2018

GCSE Results

Class of 2018 – well done and congratulations on your very pleasing results.

The students have performed extremely well in the light of all the national changes to the exam system. This has only been achieved by the hard work and commitment of the students to their studies. We would like to thank all the staff for their dedication and the support that they have given to the students to help them achieve such great results.

  • Progress 8 score is 0.54
  • Attainment 8 score is 48.7
  • Percentage of pupils who’ve achieved a strong pass (grade 5 or above) in English and maths at the end of KS4 is 39.8%
  • 65% of students have achieved the standard pass at 9-4 in the basics. This is up on last year’s figure of 63%
  • Percentage of pupils entering for the English Baccalaureate (EBacc): 64.4%
  • Percentage of pupils who’ve achieved the English Baccalaureate is 4.60
  • Excluding students that have left the country, 100% of students have stayed in education or employment after KS4
  • 39% achieved the strong pass at 9-5 in the basics
  • There were some excellent results in English- 79% have achieved the standard pass at 9-4
  • In maths 67% have achieved a standard pass at 9-4, which also is pleasing
  • In Science 72% achieved 2 GCSEs at 9-4, again which are the best ever results in Science
  • 94 grade 9s have been achieved across a wide range of subjects
  • 43 A* have been achieved in Arabic, Urdu and one in Further maths
  • 41 students have achieved 5+ 9-7 grades (this includes the equivalences in A*-A grades) which is 16% of the cohort

A Level Results

Congratulations to the class of 2018 on their wonderful results this year, in the light of all the national changes.

The hard work and commitment of our students to their studies has resulted in fantastic outcomes and we wish them all the very best for their future. We would like to thank the staff for all their hard work in supporting the students through their new courses.

  • At A Level the pass rate has been maintained at 98%
  • The A*-A, A*-B and A*-C percentages are 16%, 41% and 76% respectively. We are delighted as these are all up on last year’s results which were 12%, 26% and 55%. These have been achieved with the new more challenging A Levels
  • 7A* grades have been achieved in Arabic and Urdu
  • The level 3 vocational pass rate is 95.2% which is very pleasing with the new level 3 qualification changes
