Whalley Range 11-18 High School was the first school to use the Tutor Trust, who recruit and train students from Manchester University so they can give one to one support to disadvantaged students, mainly in English and maths.
The programme is now in its seventh year and we were delighted to see an ex-student who is now tutoring in The East Manchester Academy, one of our partner schools in the Education and Leadership Trust. Our ex-student was so appreciative of all the opportunities and high quality teaching she had experienced during her time at Whalley Range. It was a lovely evening.
