Pupils from Levenshulme and Whalley Range enjoyed a careers event at Old Trafford, which showcased the variety of professions available in the NHS.
Whalley Range 11-18 High School has been promoting reading and supporting mental health issues through the Take 10 and Shelf Help initiatives, which encourage reading as a way to relax and de-stress.
Whalley Range 11-18 High School recently celebrated National Libraries Week, an annual event to celebrate and promote our much-loved libraries. This year the focus was on wellbeing.
As of September 2017 we changed the way we accept payments for School Meals, Trips and Events. Payments are only accepted online via the ParentPay website or by cash at a PayPoint at local retailers*. Cash is no longer accepted in school for these items.

Whalley Range 11-18 High School hosted its first Futures Fest, offering students the chance to meet colleges, training providers and universities to discuss their options.
During the last academic year, staff and students raised money for The Christie’s Teenage and Young Adult Unit. We are delighted to announce that we exceeded our £4,000 target and presented The Christie with a cheque for £5,260.43! For our efforts, we have been awarded a donor coin at The Christie.
From Wednesday 29 August, Manchester City Council and Salford City Council began major improvement works on six junctions on and around Regent Road, which may disrupt travel for upto 12 months.
We encourage all parents/carers to check if their child is entitled to FSM (Free School Meals). Being registered for free school meals benefits the student and the school.
