Visiting as part of the government’s ‘Peers in Schools’ programme, Lord Goddard discussed what goes in to his role and the difference that he makes in parliament. Students were also offered the opportunity to ask questions about his life and career so far.

Speaking of the event, Lord Goddard enthused:

The Peer Education programme is about empowering and educating young people to go out there and make a difference in their communities and that anyone from any walk of life can aspire to be a member of the House of Lords.

We would like to thank the Lord Speaker’s office for arranging this visit and hope that this opportunity may have enthused some of our students to consider a career in politics in the future.
