A Resilient Student Council Conquers the Big Health Challenge ( Published: 10/07/2017)

Members of our Student Council recently won this year’s Big Health Challenge, which focused on promoting resilience in school.

Our students recognised that Whalley Range 11-18 High School already does a lot of work around this, and so they focused their efforts on building on the already great practice in school. After successfully presenting to ten other schools, they were named victorious. Following a very successful presentation they were invited to present their ideas again, at another event, to over a hundred high school teachers. This was a daunting task, but the girls took it in their stride and did a fantastic job.

Mrs Davies, staff link for the Student Council, commented:

These girls never fail to impress me with their commitment and the confidence that they show. I am extremely proud of them.
